First!
Welcome to my blog!
I guess I'll introduce myself. I'm Eboni. I'm a stay at home mom and video game lover. My husband says that I'm not, since I don't play console games very much - well, I don't anymore. When I was a kid, I loved me some Super Mario Brothers and Nintendo. I grew up into a hard-core PlayStation fangirl. Now, my PS3 collects dust in my closet and I rarely touch the Xbox - unless it's to watch Hulu or Netflix.
I've been playing MMOs since they were text-based. My first MUD was a game called Darkness Falls, by a company called Mythic. I moved on to Dragon's Gate, a RP-enforced MUD. From then on, I got hooked on roleplaying and bounced around from MUD to MUD.
My first MMO was Horizons. If you follow MMOs at all, you'll remember this game's launch was one of the biggest failures. It didn't spoil me for MMOs, though. I returned briefly to my text-based games, mostly because I had a crappy computer. Then everything went fuzzy (I guess this was my drinking and partying years). Finally I found Puzzle Pirates and RuneScape, Java-based games that would play on my crappy Dell laptop.
I guess, the rest is video game history. Mostly, because I don't remember the rest.
Now for the present:
Right now, I'm playing several games. I haven't decided which I'll concentrate on and I don't think I ever will. With the rise of the Free-2-play model, I actually have the luxury of doing playing a bunch of games and paying perks when I feel like it.
Ok, I'll going to end it here because I go off on some random rant or rabble. My next posts are going to be a few reviews of some games that I play. What will follow, will be commentary on those games - or something.
